A Vintage Eisenberg Original Bow Brooch. An ultra-rare treasure from the golden age of costume jewellery – this stunning 1940s vintage Eisenberg Original bow brooch is a true collector’s dream. Crafted in solid, weighty sterling silver and dripping with dazzling Austrian Swarovski crystals, it’s the kind of piece that will forever command attention.

Eisenberg were among the most iconic American costume jewellery designers of the 1930s and ’40s, and their Eisenberg Originals were the very first jewellery line they released. Made between 1943 and 1948, this exceptional brooch showcases the intricate silverwork and top-tier stones that defined Eisenberg’s earliest pieces. And this bow? Possibly the largest bow brooch they designed – its generous proportions and incredible detail make it feel like it leapt straight from the silver screen.

The vintage sterling silver setting beautifully captures the soft curves and folds of a luxurious, floppy bow – constructed across multiple levels and giving it real depth and movement. And the crystals? A glittering mix of round and cushion cuts in various sizes, simply dazzle. Eisenberg’s stones are adored not only for their size and artistry but for their unrivalled cut, clarity, and sparkle – partly a result of their high lead content.

A personal favourite, this is more than just a brooch – it’s a collectible vintage piece and a genuine slice of fashion history.

Photos can only go so far – this is the kind of 1940s costume jewellery that really needs to be seen and held to be believed. Measuring approx. 8cm by 5cm, with a couple of centimetres in depth, it’s a knockout. A bold, glamorous statement and a true vintage collector’s brooch.

A little backstory: Eisenberg & Sons began in 1914 as a women’s fashion company. Their jewellery originally adorned their garments and when customers began removing the brooches and keeping them, they knew the jewels deserved a line of their own. Their jewellery line was born and quickly became one of the most respected names in American costume jewellery, known for their use of Swarovski crystals, craftsmanship, and signature flair.

Imagery: our model image is intended to show scale and includes a mix of 1940s Eisenberg jewellery. Actual imagery for this product are available in the individual product images.

Vintage Condition: Overall, very good condition. Please note the central stone has some imperfections – upon inspection these appear to be shallow chips/or slithers that have come away from the reverse of the stone. The front of the stone is in very good condition except in one very small area on the underneath rim of the stone. This is not at all visible when worn and the sparkle is as strong and evident as the accompanying stones. The solid silver mount, the claws, the mounts and all other fancy cut stones remain in exceptional condition and especially for the 80 years of age.
Materials: Solid sterling silver, glass crystal stones
Signed: Eisenberg Original and Sterling
Fastening: Roll over safety clasp
Approximate Dimensions: 8.2cm wide – please keep in mind this is a very heavy piece being crafted in solid silver with glass stones.

Vintage costume jewellery is delicate and requires special care and attention.

To preserve its continued beauty and condition, it is important to keep your item boxed and protected from other jewellery when not being worn and away from liquids including perfume and hairspray. Items are typically most suited to occasional rather than constant wear.

Your order will include our care card suggesting ways to maintain the condition of your jewellery.

We cannot be held liable for any damages incurred after the receipt of products.

Additional Care Tips:
Avoid contact with liquids or humidity including sprays such as water, perfume or hairspray and creams. Exposing jewellery to wet or damp could harm the metal and reduce the life of the plating, as well as cause discolouration and/or loss of stones. Remove jewellery before washing hands, swimming etc.

Store your jewellery in the original packaging or a soft pouch to avoid scratches.

Add your jewellery last when dressing and remove before undressing. Avoid sleeping in your jewellery.

Avoid hard contact (i.e. dropping or knocking against objects) that can cause scratches or chips.

We are always happy to advise on the care specifics of a particular piece you may be considering.
