Dior; Designer of Dreams Exhibition, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, (January-September 2019)

Jennifer’s treasured 1950s Christian Dior by Mitchel Maer Bal de Oiseaux necklace and earrings took pride of place alongside other historically important artefacts, in one of the V&A’s most spectacular and successful exhibitions to date – the iconic 2019 ‘Dior; Designer of Dreams’. A dream come true for Jennifer and a beautiful acknowledgement of her jewellery expertise, she has now bequeathed her Bal de Oiseaux suite to the V&A so it can reside there permanently.

In the same year, she also presented a session on the jewellery of Christian Dior at the V&A’s sell-out Dior: Top to Toe Course.

SCHIAPARELLI; FASHION BECOMES ART Exhibition, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, (MARCH-NOVEMBER 2026)

Jennifer was invited to loan two pieces from her collection to the V&A for the ;Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art’ Exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

The exhibition presents a major exploration of the work of Elsa Schiaparelli, bringing together rare early pieces and archival material to offer a deeper understanding of her creative vision and influence.

The pieces were selected to support the narrative of the exhibition, contributing to the interpretation of Schiaparelli’s work and Elsa’s distinctive approach to jewellery within couture.

This marks Jennifer’s third haute couture exhibition with the Victoria and Albert Museum, following Chanel and Dior. Together, these houses represent some of the most important contributions to modern fashion, and it is an utmost privilege to support the telling of their stories through carefully selected pieces from the collection.

Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto Exhibition, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, (September 2023-February 2024)

Continuing her relationship with the V&A, Jennifer has loaned several pieces of rare Chanel jewellery to the museum for its groundbreaking ‘Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto’ exhibition. The first UK exhibition entirely dedicated to the work of the legendary French couturière, each jewel selected and sourced by Jennifer was crafted during Chanel’s lifetime, making them truly extraordinary, ‘must-see’ pieces.

Beyond the Little Black Dress Exhibition, National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, (July-October 2023)

North of the border, jewels from Jennifer Gibson Jewellery are on loan at the National Museum of Scotland for its historically impactful ‘Beyond the Little Black Dress’ exhibition, which deconstructs this iconic garment, and explores the radical power of the colour black in fashion through the ages. Jennifer’s 1961 Christian Dior cocktail demi-parure, designed by Roger Jean-Pierre for the celebrated French House, is beautifully displayed alongside other awe-inspiring pieces of jewellery from the likes of Chanel, Dior and Schiaparelli, to illustrate ways in which the little black dress may have been adorned in the mid-20th Century.
