Vintage Eisenberg Original Rare Crystal Sterling Silver Bow Brooch 1940s
OUT OF STOCK
An ultra rare signed piece of mid 1940s ‘Eisenberg Original’ jewellery, set in an extremely heavy sterling solid silver mount and adorned with beautiful Austrian Swarovski crystals. Eisenberg were one of the most renowned costume jewellery companies during the 30s and 40s and the ‘Eisenberg Originals‘ their earliest jewellery range. This is a seriously beautiful piece made between 1943 and 1948, comprising very detailed silver work. This particular design is possibly the largest bow design Eisenberg made. A look popularised by Hollywood. The stelrling silver setting cleverly depicts a large and beautiful floppy bow utilising several levels of construction to present the different twists and turns of the ribbon. The bow is set with a stunning array of high quality round and cushion cut Austrian crystal stones, in a variety of sizes. Eisenberg Original pieces are adored not only for their design and size, also their crystals as they have a wonderful cut, clarity and sparkle. The unrivalled sparkle and clarity of ‘Eisenberg Original’ stones was due to the high lead content of the stones. A personal favourite and a beautiful and classic addition to a jewellery collection. In addition to the quality of the materials and design, this piece is without doubt a stunning piece of fashion history and exceptionally rare. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition with a small amount of age related colouring, mainly in the central crystal stone. This is mentioned for accuracy and does not detract from the huge amount of sparkle and life that the stones still give out. These pieces really have to be seen and handled to be believed. The brooch measures approx. 8cm by 5cm and has at least a couple of centimetres depth. A simply adorable piece….

Vintage jewellery is extremely delicate and requires special care and attention. Please be aware that vintage jewellery may contain lead or nickel. To preserve its beauty and condition, it is important to keep your item boxed and protected from other jewellery when not being worn and away from liquids including perfume and hairspray. Items are typically most suited to occasional rather than constant wear.
Your order will include our care card suggesting ways to maintain the condition of your jewellery.
We cannot be held liable for any damages incurred after the receipt of products.
Additional Care Tips:
Avoid contact with liquids or humidity including sprays such as water, perfume or hairspray and creams. Exposing jewellery to wet or damp could harm the metal and reduce the life of the plating, as well as cause discolouration and/or loss of stones. Remove jewellery before washing hands, swimming etc.
Store your jewellery in the original packaging or a soft pouch to avoid scratches.
Add your jewellery last when dressing and remove before undressing. Avoid sleeping in your jewellery.
Avoid hard contact (i.e. dropping or knocking against objects) that can cause scratches or chips.
We are always happy to advise on the care specifics of a particular piece you may be considering.
