D’Orlan 1960’s Gilt and Crystal Sautoir Necklace
A fabulous gilt and crystal signed sautoir necklace made by D'Orlan, probably in the 1960's. D'Orlan's founder previously worked for Boucher and after setting up D'Orlan later acquired the Boucher company, including the moulds. Hence many pieces of D'Orlan are reminiscent of BOUCHER in their design and made to the same high quality. This particular D'Orlan piece epitomises that exceptional quality and style. This is a fabulous necklace, with five strands of gilt twisted rope chain gathered at the back of the neck in a crystal rhinestone clasp, along with a pendant of a fabulous crystal set rope twist tassel. Heaps of tiny rhinestone encrust the tassel and as you'd expect with great quality, there are sparkles a plenty. The sautoir chain measures approx. 57cms total length and the tassel measures approx. 11cms. The piece is marked D'Orlan on the clasp and is in great condition. A really lovely and very versatile vintage piece of D'Orlan jewellery.
