Coro Sterling Enamel 1940s Vintage Heart Brooch
An absolutely darling sterling silver painted Coro heart brooch made in the mid 1940s by an American company called Coro. Coro were big in the costume jewellery business during the mid century and beyond. Coro and latterly Corocraft were famed for their whimsical and novelty pieces, especially animals, 'duettes' or double dress clips and figurals and these remain highly collectible today. This sterling silver Coro heart brooch is light in construction and is painted in very pretty tones of pink, blue and green depicting flowers and a floppy bow. A beautiful example of post war jewellery evoking a more light hearted outlook on life depicted by love and happiness; overall a very pretty, very wearable piece of fashion history. The Coro heart brooch is marked clearly Coro Sterling and is brought to you in overall excellent vintage condition. The Coro heart brooch measures approx 5.5cm by 5.5cm so really does create an impact. Perfect for Spring Summer styled with florals, pastels or creams and whites.
