2022 closed out on a high for us; seeing our jewels feature in spectacular style in the iconic Selfridges Corner Shop, Oxford Street. Artfully coined ‘ReSelfridges Silverwear’, this December and New Year Selfridges pop up style ‘Corner Shop’ transformed into a magical silver wonderland, filled exclusively with sustainable finds from Selfridges Pre-loved, rental and Project Earth edits. In short, a completely circular silver shop, with something for everyone, ranging, fashion and gifts, to decorative delights.

“Luxury department store Selfridges has opened up a new circular shop within the ‘Corner Shop’ concept space of its London location.

The Christmas-themed ‘Season’s Feastings’ draws inspiration from traditional silverware for the curation of its pre-loved, vintage and recycled ‘Silverwear’ collection displayed in the space.

Selfridges said 100 percent of the stock falls in line with its circular clothing initiative ‘Reselfridges’, with pieces selected from vintage specialists, fashion archivists and “sustainable” brands.

The brands featured in the Corner Shop include vintage jewellery specialists Jennifer Gibson and Susan Caplan; fashion archivists Dot Comme from Melbourne and OOTO London; 1950s accessories from D.G. Jennings; streetwear by Trading Desk, and partywear from Vout Vintage.”

Innovation and creativity

Innovation and creativity were at the heart of achieving the spellbinding 100% silver theme in the shop and without doubt the gigantic silver chandelier stole the show (and the window). Created by British artist Rhea Thierstein, the centrepiece chandelier was inspired by Dali’s Cookbook, Les Dîners de Gala. It was nothing short of spectacular viewed from within the shop or from Oxford St.

We were thrilled to be invited by Selfridges to curate collections specifically for their incredible Silverwear venture. The one of a kind pieces we selected included vintage Christian Dior jewels spanning the glamourous 1980s to the logo centric Galliano years and the 2000s. To complete the drama, lavish, dramatic statement crystal pieces, including statement cuffs and shoulder duster earrings were chosen to amp up the sparkle. The collections looked exquisite sat in their curved silver showcases; the silver velvet lining befitting the glamour of the jewels.
To top it off our jewels also featured in Selfridges inevitably stunning and glitzy editorials that graced the giant display screens enticing passers-by (making it impossible to pass by without a peep). Being part of this incredible venture with Selfridges was undoubtedly a highlight for me and a perfect bridge from December into an exciting new year. Stylish sustainability is the heart of our business and we are so very proud to partner with Selfridges Project Earth.
