First up, I couldn’t help but gravitate to pieces in our vintage collection that would re-create The Oscars 2024 red-carpet look.
‘White Metal & Diamond Choker’ Trend
This year the jewellery was undoubtedly a major part of A-listers couture ensembles. With several hot themes winning out. The white metal and diamond collar or choker, alone or stacked was a particular highlight and none more stylish than Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt, who perfected their look. Think the romance of Hollywood glam with an edgy take.
Extra-ordinary ‘Lapel Love’
Next up I was especially drawn to the exotic strikes of style that showed lapel love in all its glory this year. An eternal style statement the brooch was certainly out in force this year donned to perfection by stars including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr. and Ncuti Gatwa. The brooch was certainly male bounty this year, but Celine Song joined the pin movement pairing the Loewe ensemble with an extraordinary elephant talisman brooch. From animals by Cartier to naturalistic inspired creations by Sauvereign to abstract and modernist designs – some worn on lapels or at the hip, the brooch is of course here to stay in whatever way you choose to unlock and display your unique style. As if the Oscar jewel feast wasn’t enough, I was drawn to the dazzling display of emeralds at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, whose celebration included a private performance from the legendary Rihanna.
